The Saints are 5-0 and Tom Brady's TD streak has ended. It's been a good football day so far. Now if only the Broncos and the Cowboys could both lose that'd be great.

I need to make that vet appointment for later in the week but I can't, not today. Last time I did Important Dog Things today it cost a huge piece of my heart.

So I suck at regular posting huh? Once all of last year. Well, with this one that's once a year so there's that at least.

Introducing Bud

Don’t ask me how an armless zombie got himself into a tree, maybe he flew there when his leash snapped. All I know is he is loose and he’s looking for a new home and someone to snuggle with, he has promised not to bite. I think that’s what he meant anyway, zombie not being big talkers and all. Thinking back maybe he wasn’t trying to snuggle he just didn’t have a mouth yet, that is something to consider before adopting a zombie.

If you want a better look at him he’s here and hopefully he will be joined by others in the coming days so keep an eye out and maybe a weapon handy.

 Apparently he was hunting badgers in my knitting again. The top one should be obvious, double points aren't supposed to look like that, the tooth pick was a Harmony circ, astoundingly he dropped two stitches of the hat on that one when he snapped it. And the empty space? That's supposed to be another of the double points that I haven't found yet, there's one of three left in that hat. Completely badger free though so there's that.

What was I thinking?

Despite everything I lived through NaNoWriMo again this year even though it was the hardest NaNo since my first one. Gah. It was like my brain wanted to hibernate for the month and I had to take a sledgehammer to it to provide proper motivation.

Yeah. So.

I survived it and that’s all that can be said, onto December.

Christmas knitting to do, other knitting on the To Knit list and what do I do? Take on another commission. Good idea wasn’t it? Oh well, two months without sleep can’t be that bad for you can it? I’ll sleep after the Super Bowl… wait, that makes it three months. Maybe a nap here and there.

Got to go knit. Y’all have fun.

Late Night Viewing

I like to call Open Range my ‘crack Western’ if it’s on odds are better than even I’ll stop and watch a bit. Not only is it just a good movie but Kim Coates is in it and I’ve proved I’ll watch anything with him in it at least once and usually more than that.

Lately though if I watch from the beginning I always have the bad timing to look up just as Charley is carrying Tig to bury her with Mose and it just kills me. I know it’s coming and I know if I look it’s worse and usually I don’t look but sometimes I don’t think and I look up from my knitting or the laptop and it’s bad all over again. I remember how hot I was and how oak trees have fearsome roots to hack through to dig a grave and how much I had never buried my own pet until that day, they were always someone else’s and I helped to spare the pain and how much I still want my sweet, goofy, weird looking, loving, heart owning dog back.

Sons of Anarchy Mystery Solved

Damn you Kurt Sutter. Just in case I didn’t already love Tig enough I find out what this whole mess with Kozik is over a dog. I was expecting if I cried this season it would be over baby Abel. I was wrong when I saw Tig’s picture with his girl Missy. Damn.

I’ve known this season was going to hurt since April and tonight was the absolute topper to it.
